Was out to fish yesterday with Laker John and Bayboy, launched at the ferry and headed east, trolled in the Keith Shoal area for a while and then over to the lght house.

Fished that area and over to the BatCave a couple times with two or three other boats in the area. Saw one boat use the net twice.

We finally hooked one at 1200 and gave the rod to BayBoy (guest on the boat), got the planer board off, then the snap weight and into the net.

Bayboys' FIRST double digit - fish weighed an even 10 lbs - she was big and round huge across the shoulders - revived and released.

The wind was up and down all day making up wind fishing a chore.

Came ashore at 1615, talked with a couple boats who followed us in one boat had hit a 25" and a 31" just before landing, both on downriggers using a blue holographic lure - name unknown by the anglers.

We had a good day on the water, with a small mist at one point, but mainly sunny the rest of the day.

Back sometime soon.

Stay Tuned

Hi Superdad, I tought I saw your boat out passed the Ferry, we were fishing there also. We got 2 eyes yesterday. I was in the 16Princecraft with the 40hp Evinrude.

We started off on a really good note, the lines were in the water for just a few minutes when the planer went off, a nice 6lbs and then nothing until 2:30 where we got a 8lbs. Early morning the fish were between 20 and 30ft but later they seemed to be all over 40ft.

We got one eye on a Mann's 25+ color firetiger and the other one on a Husky Jerk, blue and orange.

Can't wait to go back in Nov.

Cheers,
