Was able to get out and fish with my son, Dave and Laker John on Wed, Nov 1st. Launching at Bayview Resort, we headed towards the Fairway Buoy, north and west of the cement plant to scout for some fish.

We found plenty of fish in the main channel leading into the deep waters off Thompsons PT. Trolled around the Buoy and over to the west shore past the BIg Willow tree and along that west shore.

Made a run from Thompson's to the yellow marker and in threu Thompsons Cove, Dave had a strike on a test lure I was trying but didn't get a hook-up.

Decided to run into Picton Bay to have a look there, remembering the good luck we had three yrs ago, didn't mark many fish, anything we saw was small.

Headed past the ferry to have a look at that area that was so popular about three years ago, marked some fish there but not the numbers that wouyld draw to fish there again.

Trolled eastward, saw lots of boats runnning and gunning but didn't see any nets over the side. We trolled to Q1 and decided that we weren't having any luck and family considerations prompted us to head in at 1445.

Motored back and took the boat out and headed to home.

Couldn't put my son on a PB walleye as he had a PB with Atlantic Salmon in New Brunswick. - wait til the next time.

The west wind made that water east of the ferry a tad rough, the boats heading westward were sure pounding the waves.

Next trip will be mid month - getting ready for the walleye get to gether.

Stay Tuned

Hey Super Dad thanks for the latest report and your wonderful pics of the Salmon out East. It is nice to see you enjoying time with your Dad.

I now include my Dad in our Annual trip to the BOQ May 24 weekend believe it or not my dad is 68 and he only caught his first walleye last May 06.You should have seen his face .Yes priceless.

I will be staying at Merlands November 17th hopefully you will be around I would like to meet you.I will be in my friend Kenny's boat a Lund classic 1660 with a 60 Mercury .I should be easy to spot because I am probably the only person in Quinte with a yellow survival suit.

One more question after you sell the Crestliner what are going to replace her with?
