Has anyone ever had a replica made at Advanced Taxidermy in Toronto? How is the turnaround time? I hear the quality of their work is exceptional. Do they basically just need length ,girth and picture? This might be helpful information for anyone who does happen to catch a large BOQ double digit walleye before the end of this year and can release it to fight another day. Good luck to all ...can't make it out this year but if anyone does catch a big double digit I wouldn't mind living vicariously and seeing a picture of it on this website. Practice safe catch and release :!:

I have had work done by them. WOW I had crappy done on drift wood. It's the best one I've seen other then any other they have done! I had it shipped to my door or you can drive there and pick it up. They shipped it i a wood framed box that had been padded with spay foam. The only thing is, don't get in a hurry for your investment. But it was well worth the wait, and it will last a life time unlike skin mounts that look old down the years. It took around 7 months.

Thanks, yes those fibreglass replicas are supposed to keep their colour features and detail over time. Can you get it done for a couple of hundred or is it a lot more than that these days? I imagine the colour features on your Crappie replica must really stand out!! I have seen some replicas on sale at Bass Pro in Toronto -Largemouth Bass, Trout for 50-80 dollars depending on the size but probably not the detail or materials that goes into Advanced Taxidermy's work.
