Please note I called it an 'Outing' as opposed to a Fishing report.

We ( Bayboy and myself) did get out yesterday(11th), launching the 'BayGirl' from Shermans Launch and spending an hour or so in the Thompsons pt area along with half a dozen other boats. Didn't see a net over the side.

Motored and trolled from Q4 to the ferry - no results there either.

Motored east and found the pack of boats (approx 16-20) all fishing the area near Q1.

Wicked wind from the NE blowing 3 footers, trolling down wind made sense. Trolled from BayCave back to the ferry with no results.

We did see three boats net fish.

Tried all sizes and shapes and depths but it wasn't our day -didn't look like it anyone elses for that matter.

Took the boat out at 1515 and called it a day.

Bayboy's new toy - "BaygIrl" workd well and is very comfortable - thank God for the canvas roof cover.

It's sure tough fishing in swells and rain and cold and crappy weather, but that's fall fishing.

Not discouraged, but have to assess our methods and make some adjustments.

Too Bad Bayboy, we didn't get anything, but wait til next time. :D

Wow. Tough fishing in a NE wind, eh? Maybe you spent too much time west of the ferry, and maybe you got out of the water too early? On Thursday the bite seemed to really turn on from about 3:30pm til dark. We caught all of our fish east of the ferry [didn't try west]

I am very interested to see how many fish were caught on Saturday. Steve-Hamilton wrote in another post that he did pretty well that day, so maybe he was on the fish? What was your secret, Steve?

Great post Superdad. It was super to get out and have a chance to experiment with some different things. It is good to share the news and techniques with other anglers. By the happy look on Steve Hamilton's face, it was good that we left a couple there for him! Great to see other folks sharing their experiences and pics too.

bayboy :D
