We gave it another shot tonight. It was pretty cold out but with the winds down it made it bearable.
We quickly scouted the bridge area and very few fish. We moved to the flats and started to mark fish. We trolled through them and again got short strikes or rammed the fish with out baits. Finally picked one up just before 8pm. It weighed 6lbs on the nose and was caught on a perch Berkley Frenzy minnow. C&R
We tried back trolling tonight and had a few short strikes. Thought the slower speed may make a difference.
My cousin hooked into what he thought was a nice walleye but it ended up being a gar pike he snagged in the side.
One of these times we're gonna get the pattern down and hopefully slam a lot of 'eyes.
