Went to the Picton Bay with my partner, John on Saturday afternoon. We caught seven walleyes weighing 9.8, 9.5, 8.3, 7.8, 11.2, 13, 11.5. The key technique was trolling slowly using a deep HJ-14.
We are looking forward to going there again this coming Friday.

Ah, great to see the fishing's been so productive. The HJ14's are a must have in the tackle box for down there. G 'n B is the secret weapon. I like to use with a 3/8 snap on weight, and 100 ft. behind the boat. Tracks right around 20 to 25 feet. Any colour preference on Saturday? Hoping to be down for next Saturday

Cheers,

In the spirit of fair play, I will divulge. Black and Gold would be the answer, but the code on the box is 'G'. Now that we've cleared that up, would you be willing to share what in-line boards you were using on the weekend?

Also, let me know if you can't get your hands on one of those Raps, I'll bring a couple extras on Saturday. Can only make it down for the day, but I'll be starting out of Tip of the Bay on Saturday in a 14 ft. Discovery with 20 merc., probably starting in front of Cement Plant

I use the offshore board and I also have an old willie board which I modified to add the tattle flag. I have found active fish up high and NOT down deep. Top 15ft of water and way out to the side. My boat is blue/silver ASTRO with 175 Yamaha pull up if you see us.
