Gave it a go at the mouth of the river armed with jigs, minnows and ice fishing spoons. The wind was blowing pretty good and it was tough to keep on top of your line and feel the bottom. Despite this we stuck it out for a few hours and managed 4 fish and lost a few boat side. All of the were 1-4lbs. I'm sure we would of got alot more had the wind been calmer.

Nice eating size! Is this a productive area and pattern this time of year? Can you catch smaller fish here with regularity? Out Glenora way we have only caught one 3-pounder this year, all the others have been 7 and up, with the very odd 5 and 6-pounder.

Losing them at the side of the boat?! Geez, you gotta get someone who knows how to handle a net, or just grab the things. Either that, or sharpen your hooks..... ;)

Thanks for the report Dan. They should be stacked right up there now.
