Quinte Fishing

Good day all,

First of all I just want to introduce myself to the site. I've been viewing for a few months and my fishin' buddy Wiggler has been posting, this time I figured I'd give it a try. Here's how we did today.....

Started out launching at the Glenora Ferry at about 7:30ish, we were the first boat out. Made a bee-line for Thompson's point as we had some success there a few weekends ago. Didn't mark very many fish and didn't have so much as a tap on our lines. We figured we'd start moving around to see if we could mark anything, moved to where a few other boats were on the south shore just west of Glenora....once again nothing on the trusty fishfinder. Made the move to go just east of the Ferry, picked up our first fish at around 12:30 a healthy 7 pounder, puttered around for another 30 minutes or so and started to get discouraged again, thought about moving back to Thompson's point but decided against it after picking up a small eater fish (Thank the lord for that little guy). Anyway, saw a few other boats pick up some fish but couldn't tell the sizes. Picked up another fish just over 5lbs and decided to move further east and that's when it started. Over the next 2 hours, from about 2pm until about 4pm we netted 9 more fish including an 8lber, 3 10lbers and 4 11lbers!!! All caught on Mann's 20+'s in (10 on Dr. Death and 2 on Grey Ghost)

At the end of the day both Wiggler and I set new PB's!!! Absolutely incredible day on the water and not sure if we'll ever be able to top it.....though we're definitely gonna give it a shot as often as possible!!!!

Before I go, I just want to thank everyone who posts on this site, if it weren't for you guys we definitely wouldn't have had the success we're having!!! Included in the everyone of course is Sam at Carra's and Ron at Skevy's...gotta love the local stores!!!!!

Now here goes the difficult part....trying to attach the photo's of the 10 plusers on my first post (times are off on the pics by about an hour as we didn't set the camera clock)









I tried to keep the pics small for those dial-upers out there. Oh and if anyone has any posting tips for me, please shoot me a PM.

we were trolling with inline planers and Dr Death 20+ Manns crankbaits.

Great job fellas, you seem to have got it together, There has been a group of fisherman there all week and their results have also been very good.

Great report and pics guys. Congrats on the pb's and all the great info for us still hoping to get down there someday.

Yup - I have found a definite "bite" happening 2-4 pm. Nice report, superb pix. Just the right size for the forum, and without the annoying frame.

We didn't recognize you. Always keeping an eye out for your boat but I guess that wouldn't have worked Saturday eh? I think we may have met Steve (not sure why I was thinking Mike ) one night at the ramp by the ferry. Thought he had a big Lund.

Today was definitely a different day. We only boated one fish at around 4:30 just off the hump close to Pull point. Weighed an even 11 lbs.

I agree with Pete...I think we have a good 2 weeks of open water left. Maybe, just maybe we can pull off another PB. woohoo

Just 'cuz I know he wants to show it off.....here's Wiggler's 11 pounder that he caught on Sunday.

wiggler, we were in my boat, not the superdad special (although i wish i was).

i run a 17.5' lund pro guide tiller (yamaha). we had three guys in the boat, and spent quite a bit of time within eye shot of you guys.

congrats on the successful outing!

A tiller mount?! Dang. The sign of a True Walleye Hardman. Though not exactly required in Quinte this time of year ....
