I was out yesterday with my buddy Hotsauce yesterday and had a decent outing. First time I have EVER been in a boat on the bay and not ice fishing at this time of year. Started east of the ferry first thing as the weather reports were showing the wind was gonna pick up in the afternoon so we thought we would get our licks in before then. As it turns out the winds never really picked up. We managed 4 fish while east of the ferry and 2 fish west of the ferry. They came on different baits and depths. One fish on the Manns 20 Dr.Death/75ftline and 4 fish on the reef runners at 50ftline, 75ft line, 140ftline and one with 200ft line out. Also one on the deep diving husky jerk12 clown at 50 ft line. I saw a number of other boats out there hauling in fish and some just enjoing the day. Here's a few pictures.

Dan nice fish,
Was nice meeting you out on Quinte and back at the launch. Fishing from our boats in January has been an excellent bonus.

Nice work Dan! Lucky you weren't out on Saturday :!: Superdad, Laker John and I were out on Saturday and the wind and waves were pretty bad. We ended up having to go to the south shore and tie up for over an hour until the wind died down. The waves were about 4 footers and the kind that lift you up and drop you straight down. ooohhhh my aching body today. Anyways, fished from about 10:30 - 3:45 (minus the shore lunch time) and had nada. Saw about 7 boats and spoke to one group that had one about 8 lbs. Shoulda waited til today (Sunday). Oh well, can say we were fishing in a boat on Jan 6th!

cheers
Ken

Ken looks like sunday was a good day.The morning was perfect we headed out from Belleville and went to our ice fishing location and we had a ball. The fish had a feeding frenzy and we all (5 guys) limited out awesome!!!!There where a few large ones caught and put back but most where eaters. This is a picture of me with my personel best (i hope it works) all we had in the boat was an old spring scale and it read 12lbs..I think that maybe a little much but never the less made my day. When i got home and cleaned my fish on the back porch i took the guts to the garage and returned the fillets where gone ????,There sat my 3 yr. old yellow lab licking her chops !!!!!I couldn't beleive it,i even went back to the garage and check the bag i took out.Well lesson learned,I told the wife well there is always next weekend and all i got was the look,Good luck guys.K.M.B.f.
