Wanting to make an afternoon trip down from Campbellford, Wondering where the best spot to go with good fishing and safe ice is??

Well... After the past week, that safe ice and plenty of fish could be found in my freezer! Just kidding. I have only kept one fish so far. Read some of the other posts here today as that information is pretty much all that I can verify as well. There is enough ice in most of the dead water areas in the Belleville vicinity to walk out and pull a portable shelter. Watch the current areas though and check your ice thickness regularly. My wrist was getting sore from all of the spudding that I did last week walking around the bay. I didn't make it out today, but hopefully we are getting more ice. It will be nice to pull out the gear with the ATV soon.

Stay on the right side of the ice and good luck!

Can anyone tell me where this Potters Creek is and or how to get to big island and Herchimer??? Hope to hear back soon. Thanks
