Are these cameras basically of greatest use for ice fishing or is there also some value to them when fishing in the summer time? Have you used them in both scenarios?

both cameras can be used either way. The XPS model is better suited for summer use as is has lead weights and a fin attached so it will see strait ahead when you move the boat. I also have a downrigger attachment kit so you can watch how the fish are reacting to your lures.

The Ice Pro model has a bigger screen ( 7 in. ) and looks strait down as it was designed for ice fishing but they can both be used all year round.
