As I gaze out towards Trenton from Rossmore this windy, snow blowy morning, I spy, with my little eye, 3 ice fishers, off potters creek conservation area (SW corner of Hwy 2 and Wallbridge-Loyalist road). I'm not surprised, as the water off there is about 10-12 feet deep, and grows ice quicker that behind the house here in Rossmore, and other areas with more current.
Hopefully they are catching (and then posting here!), as the wind is blowing the little snow that has collected on the ice. Looks nice out there, but it looks c-c-c-cold as well.
The ice boat across the way was zipping to-and-froe yesturday aft' as well, so I guess the hard water season is now officially upon us once more.
Guess I'll spend some time this week getting the ice gear in order, hopefully to rub shoulders with some of you next weekend on ice.
