Certainly started out to be a frustrating day... no minnows at Cara's or Skevys' .... and this was my last day to fish the Bay this season. Finally tracked down some minnows at Moons in Deseronto, so drove out there from Belleville and picked up some good quality minnows (good size and no runts or sunfish or catfish minnows like I had been getting).
Soon after met up with my pal Big Nuts and we headed to Massasauga Pt. Glad we did.. from 1:30-6:00 we managed to get six fish to the ice and five through the hole (lost one trying to get it vertical at the hole) and only one was a dink and let it go. Seeing that this was our last day of the season we kept 4 fish for the pan ( 1.5, 2, 2.5, and a 3 lber). Missed a few soft hits as well. No perch biting all day? and No hawgs for us today. We were using silver sidewinder and a silver crippled herring.
Ice wasn't all that busy for the final weekend... lots of huts out, but no one in most of the ones near us.
Had a great last day and look forward to next season already.
Hopps

.... hey if you were looking for a good feed id say you did a great job........ if you wanted something for the wall i say better luck next year, but either or looks like you had an adventure, and a good time too boot and thats just what its all about right............. catching fish is often the easy part, capturing a good memmory is almost priceless.
