Are barbless hooks really nessesary in rivers streams and ponds.

Lake restrictions are not really important becase fish are stronger and bigger in size and mass.

Use barbless in streams and rivers because if you catch smaller fish, the hook removal process is much less damaging when using barbless. I recommend using barbless on all your lures, the only time I use barbed hooks is if there's a minnow on my hook (to keep the bait on), you won't notice a difference in no. of fish lost using barbless on your lures...keep your line tight that's all..... my 2cents. later.
