Hi everyone,
I have wanted to make a planner boad mast for a while now so I started the other day. The only question I have is what type of line should I run from the mast to the planer boards? I was thinking of using a heavy braid line will this work or what do you recomend??

if your saving the cost of buying a planer boart mast, then simply buy the 10 dollar (or so) line designed for planer board masts....

it has high vis, so you dont decapitate yourself.

it has some stretch, which you'll need.

it has wide diameter, which makes it easy for 'pulling the boards in'.

if you can find a line similar to those properties, go for it!

(maybe really heavy, ie 200lbs test or so, flyline?)
