For Quinte..... try the sites listed here:
http://www.quintefishing.com/ice_hut_rentals.htm

I've never rented in the area, so I really have no first hand knowledge on who is the best. The last couple of years, the best would have been the operators who had ice to put huts on!

I've fished off of "Fosters" during the summer, and he has huts, but couldn't get them out last year due to the horrid ice conditions. http://www.pec.on.ca/fosters/report.html

There are others in the area as well, so ask around. Some offer accommodations at area hotels as a package.

Hope this helps!

Louis

Just a word of warning!
If you want a good hassle free weekend, DON'T USE FOSTER'S!!!!!!!!!!
I have yet to speak with anyone that has any good to say about the miserable SOB that owns the place.
Rude and Obnoxious are his ONLY good points. :x

Most on this board will agree.

Good luck.

P.S. I usually don't use operators anymore just for that reason. You can get a hand auger for $50 and just pick the good weather.

fosters is as bad or worse then superdad said, the only recourse is to warn others once you have had a nightmare experience with them.

Talk about your dishonest businessman. My dad hit one of the 911 signs abutting his property last year and he tried to charge me $200 to replace the sign claiming that the town was going to add the cost to his property taxes! He wouldn't even let me put it back in. I called the township and told them what happened and they said they replace the signs for "free". What an a-hole! I made the mistake of letting him prepare my first ever boat for the summer and about $1000 later to replace a steering cable and "repack" one of my tilt cylinders I ended up having to get a used tilt cylinder anyways for $50 and doing it myself! Stay away from this guy.

Wow.... Sorry I suggested Fosters. I fished off his property a couple of times in the summer, without ill experiences.... other that he seemed kinda odd and set in his ways.

There are other ice fishing hut operators... but I have never used any of them. It seems that quality outfitters are being asked for in this thread, and all that I've seen listed are reasons not to use Fosters.

Is there no one out there able to suggest another? I'd like to think that this is a helpful group.
