Arr'd at Hay Bay on Thrus afternoon and was able to get out for the evening with Ohio Joe. Didn't know where to go, so we headed to Shermans Pt.
Trolled the shoal for a while and bumped bottom at 15', headed off the shoal and trolled out there. Fished from 1730 -2000 hrs, total was 6 strikes, landed a pair( 23" and 6.75 lbs) on the Orange Uzick Spinners.
Hit the water on Fri AM (1100) with SuperBert for a short fish and we trolled most of the same area and had 4 strikes and landed another pair( 20" & 22") on the Orange Uzick again.
We know of three other fish landed in the same area using the same lures.
Reports from Thurs were that there fish being caught Hay Bay eastern flats, McCabe Bay, and Ram Is.
The fish are there.......
There appeared to be a convention in front of Perfect Vue this morning as there were about 10 boats all fishing in a cluster about 100 yds from shore at 1100 and the pack ahd moved out to 300 yds at 1330. Must be something happening.
