well I got home last night and decided I wanted to spend some time on the water even though it looked like a storm brewing. So I called my buddy (fishn-hunter) and we headed for Deseronto along with my brother.

Left deseronto boat ramp just as the rain was starting and headed for Shermans. Arrived at Shermans and trolled for about 45 mins before we netted a 3lber trolled for a while longer and nothing else.

Decided to head over to Thompsons. #0 secs after wetting a line, Fish on! Fish ON double header! Both were just under 3 lb's Trolled back and forth and picked up plenty of fish. The nicest being a 6 lb'er that was a tagged fish from the MNR. We released a few and took some home for a meal. Fishn-hunter nailed the big lad and unfortunately it was so aggresive from taking the hook that it was pretty evident she wasn't going to make it.

All fish were caught on Mepps spinner's worm tipped.

Enjoy the pics.

Maverick,
Don't forget to call the ministry to report the tag at the glenora office. I have done this in the past and received a nice hat for my efforts. This information helps with future efforts of fisheries management.

I called the phone # on the tag of the fish and it was the Picton office. I proceeded to give her the information she asked for about the fish ie. (length, girth and weight), where I got it, what day, time of day and she also asked for the sex of the fish which I had no clue. There where no sign of any eggs, or anything to suggest it was a jack. How do you tell on a post spawner? Anyway given by the # on the tag she told me right off that the fish was taged nearly 10 years ago. She asked me to mail the tag to them and they will send me a hat with a crest and all the info on the fish, like when, where the fish was tagged and its measurements at the time of being tagged etc. I can't wait to get the info it is realy quite interesting.
