We (fishn-hunter) and myself decided to head out for a fish before the big game Saturday night, We launched from Pickerel Park and after hearing from some guys down there that the bite had turned off on that end decided to swing up to Thompsons where we had enjoyed some success earlier in the week.

Noticed a ton of boats on the way to ram island and a few near the old church, but we proceeded to our spot. Quite a few boats over at shermans as well.

Got to Thompsons around 1900 and started a troll back and forth in about 12 ft of water couple of nice hits and then WHAM landed a nice 2 1/2 lber, next pass over and again same thing Frieght train type hit. All in all we landed 5 all from 2 1/2 to 4 lb's.

The fish hit like frieght trains and had tons of fight, almost felt like sheeps head!

Saw one net go over the side and bring in about a 7 lber poor guy was all alone but did a nice job of fighting the fish and netting himself.

here's a few pics the first being of our catch and the second being the other highlight of our weekend Fishn-hunter's new boat he bought Fri night!

See ya on the Water and keep those lines tight! :D

Beauty Rig makes for even a bad day fishing good. My boy got his first pike this past week too on an old 5 of diamonds off the dock at Pickeral park. Later he lucked into a bigger fish. With alittle coaching and 20 minutes he couldn't be happier. Not exactly a nice mess of walleye but as proud as having caught that many. hehehehe

Never fails eh mav, post a pic of a few for the pan and there is always someone who tries to make you feel like a criminal. Not keeping a few for the pan now and then is criminal in my book. Especialy when you know they are not gunna make it when you try to put'em back.

Nice catch guys and nice boat fishn-hunter.
I was also out Saturday night(I was the guy by myself in the 12')
Had great luck trolling out from the little boat launch.
I caught 4 and had quite a few bites as well. Man they hit hard.
Kept 2 for the frying pan and man were they tasty.
Good luck this weekend boys
Ben
