I am planning a trip in May (After opening week end) and wanted to get opinions on the quality of fishing in Picton bay compared to other parts of the bay.

I have had some luck in that area but prefer to fish the water around glenora and down the reach. It depends what you're after, trophy vs meat.
If its a trophy then try all of the area from shermans point /the reach and over to glenora . Just remember the big fish are migrating out of the bay at that time. If you're after a feed then try the mouth of the Napanee river.

Picton Bay is good in the fall and you can always get some nice fish along the weed lines in the summer.

Dan hit the nail on the head with fish heading back to the big lake, they're travelling pass the Glenora ferry.

Have a go, remember there's a weigh station for the Trenton Kiwanis tournament at the Picton Launch site.
