Hey lads....I'll be going out this sunday and heading north for the first time.
Going to check into why the launch is closed near GlenRoss and thats pretty much the area Ill be fishing if the cons are good for the days fishing.
Seeking my first lunge of the season.

There is a public launch at Anderson Island by the bridge
There is won on rosebush rd. at the old marina. I believe you can launch there but it is private.

Good luck

Thanks for the info iceman but........
Got home from work lastnight to find my boat completely submerged dockside.
A paddle had washed ashore at a neighbours, the gas can was stuck between a couple of rocks about 20' further down.
Good thing the water is only 3' deep at the dock so the motor was completely out of the water.
The wife an I pulled out the motor and in I went to pull out anything else of value before flipping it over and dragging it in over the rocks.
It had a good bath anyway.
I found that a rivet the diameter of a bic pen was missing in the hull and hopefully that was the only problem...sure put a dent in my days plans.
I've never had to repair anything like this before and any tips will be welcomed.

Doesn't sound good Brix, too bad to hear about your boat, hopefully the rivet is all it was.
There are a few launches above Glen Ross, there's another by the top lock and Myersburg as well. Haven't been having much success there this year though. Was out Friday night and got a couple of hammer handles and a few 10-12" bass and similar results from other trips.
Been wondering about the launch at the Marina on Rosebush, sounds like he's not open anymore then Iceman? Used to charge $10 a launch. Iroquois camp charges $10 as well.

There are new owners of the property on Rosebush. I think thier launch is open, not sure ioo%. As for your leak, put in a small nut & bolt and get a epoxy sealer at CTC. It comes in a stick and you apply with a propane torch. If you need help send PM. I live close to you.

Drove by the old marina the other night. They have a "launch at own risk $5.00" sign out front.
How'd you make out with your boat Brix?
