Was just reading about all these different people being charged with keeping more fish than their limit on another board. My question is if I'm up at the trailer for a week and I catch and keep say 20 fish and I get stopped by the MNR on the way home, will he assume I caught them all in one day? I know that the rules are 4 fish per person per day, but how does he know if I caught them over a period of one day or several days? Or am I only allowed to be in possession of the limit of 4 at any given time?

Ken,

The possession limit is four walleyes for Zone 8, whether you catch them in one day or five - only four fish in your possesion per regular license. two fish with a conservation license.

Now, three under 19" and one over 25" or four uner 19".

That's what you're allowed in your possession.

If you have twenty fish in your possession, you had better have a pile of people with licneses PRESENT if MNR counts them

Thanks Superdad,

as always you are there to play Yoda to my Luke Skywalker! :D Lucky for the fish and me, I haven't become a Jedi master yet. I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms 8O Only 5 months, 11 days til the opener. Will probably be up next month for some hard water action if the ice is thick enough.

If you are willing to drive you can get some great action on the Detroit river. Late March early April. Why wait so long! We gotta talk the guy who drives the ship into the cement plant into doing some big wide turns coming in and out. I think I'll slip him a 50 next year.
