Hmmm..no takers? I thought I could get something going. Actually, the best three days of fishing in the last five years. Key for us was small walleye divers (black and silver) in 12 to 15 feet of water, have to be over the weeds. We spent the last day catching and releasing, lost caught of the number of fish caught. As always, Perfect Vue staff and Joanne were perfect hosts, have already reserved (if she listens to her phone messages) for next year.

Good luck to all in the upcoming Bayview/Perfect Vue get together. We left you some fish.

Daren,

Thanks for the report on the fishing, I read it Sunday AM.

The fishing has been HOT, but with turned off Saturday AM in some parts due to the boat traffic.

Sorry I didnt get it to you sooner Dave. I think that is one of the reasons we did so well, we avoided the boat traffic, and, we come during the week to avoid the boat traffic.

It was definetely a hot pattern. You should have stopped in for a cold one and a first hand report :).

We were there from Aug 3 to 5. Friday was very productive. Landed about 13 walleyes (released 5). Several were in the 3-4lb range. All caught between 3-6PM.

Things dropped off quite a bit on Saturday and Sunday. Caught only 7 on those 2 days.

Uzick orange was the only colour that seemed to be working.

Caught all fish at Shermans, particularly in front of the blue cottage with the stone beach just east of Shermans.

Sounds like a good trip for you too. What depth were you fishing EyeCatcher?

I don't have a sonar so I never really know the depth. Most fish we're caught with a lot of line out. A good cast and at least another 20-30 feet.

We we're fishing about 400-600 yards from shore...on a line roughly from the red buoy to the sail boats parked in front of that new stone mansion just east of Shermans.

Thanks EyeCatcher, you must have been in the 20 foot range, if not deeper
