Hello everbody. I am a board member for the last year but usually just read the posts as I never get home to the bay. I grew up at the top of onderdonk hill and swam from a dock across from CFB. A bunch of us from Belleville, friends from highschool, still get together once a year for 4 days of fishing. We've done the north, Temegami, Kippiwas and Nippising. Well, I finally convinced them all to come home to the bay.
We'll be staying at Fosters and I was hoping to pick a few minds before we come down. Bass still in 6-8 ft on weed breaks? Are the walleye shallow in 8-10 ft weeds now cause the bays so clear? Hows the pike fishing around the mouth of the Napanee river. It used to be awsome.
I see alot of Orange and chartruse used. Is this good right up the reach as well. We'll be down from Aug17-22. I'll be in a yellow 18ft rinker bow rider with a 70 and kicker. Any info would be appreciated.

The bass are along the deep weed edges and seem most active in the early morning. For the walleyes we have been trolling for them in 12-14 feet beside the weed beds.Orange is hot.Hope this helps.

I use to live on the top of Onderdonk too. 2nd. driveway from the top.

The pike fishing in the river is still pretty good. The bass fishing is good just about everywhere, although it is starting to get a bit tougher due to fishing pressure.

I was fishing out front of Fosters along the weed edge and nailed a nice walleye on a white spinnerbait worked very slowly in and around the weeds. Also got another on a white tube. Good luck to the boys. Also heard big bay which is a bit of a run from there has been producing eyes.

Thanks for the advice guys. Can't wait to see the bay from the water side again. Keep the rod tips up. I have a correction to our location. My buddies tell me it's called sunset cabins.. Hope they don't mind the fish stories around the campfire going on into the night abit. Look for a vintage yellow Rinker next weekend starting Thursday if your out and about. Again thanks.
