Planning a trip near Oshawa, Anyboby know if the salmon are staging/running or being caught from shore?

Know the Salmon are starting to stack up shallow but the rivers (Credit) still only has residents kicking around. Yesterday went out with my son and we landed 3 small rainbows - very small. From another board the fish being caught in shallow are starting to show spawning colours but there are also silvers being caught. Need rain and cooler temps for the big runs, and i figure another couple of weeks off yet.

i was up fishing at new castle yesterday and at 6am. the fish were rolling all over the place at the pier in 8' of water,marked all kinds of hooks but little too rough for my little tin can,so i had to pack her up,if i had my rods with me and not the downrigger rods i would have stayed and fished.she rained all night hard figure thats what triggered them.
