With a series of circumstances culminating with Superdad fishing with BayBoy for the Kingscourt Derby on Saturday.
We fished hard and lost a pike in the weeds.
There were approx 7 fish weighed for the total derby, one big walleye - 6.3lbs - caught 50 feet from the weigh station. Many of us ran a long for no fish.
The Kingscourt people put on a real fine fish fry with live entertainment, everyone had a really good time. Thanks to the organizers.
BayBoy and I hit the water again on Monday morning, fished the Old Church, Kingscourt weed bed, Shermans PT (Deep water side) and finally a pass thru Thompsons Pt. We finally landed a fish larger than 6", a LM Bass hit the Orange Uzick. That was it.
Talked to several other fishers today and the word is DISCOURAGING - nothing is taking. The bite is OFF.....................
Lots of fish on the graphs but no takers.
Stay Tuned
