Saturdays duck opener?

Anyone out banging ducks on the bay this weekend (or anywhere else for that matter)? If so how did you make out?

We always go back to our hunting camp by Cloyne for the opener.Not that there isn't lots of ducks around here but it is a good weekend with the boys.It also serves as a little scoutting for the moose and deer hunt.Anyways we had a good shoot with 30 ducks and 3 geese for 6 guys.For a change this year it was almost all woodies.We had 23 woodies 6 ring necks and 1 mallard.Most years we shoot mostly mallards but this is a tasty change.Those woodies are hard to beat.

I agree with the woodies, like flying sirloin!!

I managed 10 woodies and one mallard between saturday and sunday.

I was out on West Lake and shot more mallards then I'm used to on the opener between four of us we managed 25 mallards and 4 or 5 woodies, 1 widgeon, and 1 goose. I watched all kinds of birds come in and out of the decoys on Sunday morning but it was between 6:00 am and about 6:20 so just before I could legally get the gun out of the case. I don't think I have ever been so tempted to start shooting early. Oh-well we'll get em this weekend.
