Reflecting on last season (openwater), with the new regulations in mind, I am curious. What size were most of your walleyes?

Your poll brings to mind a discussion I had with friends recently about the slot size measurement.....Question...Are we supposed to measure fork or total length? Apparently the Fishing Summary show pictures of fork length measurement, but we don't know if this applies to the walleye slots...MNR at Glenora didn't know how to answer that question, anyone else got any ideas?

Last spring I caught a ton of fish under the 19" mark . Of course when fall rolls around all the fish caught were over the 25". I didn't count how many fish in total I caught so I don't know which I caught more of. I suspect, in total most were over 25",

Good question Netter about the length, I would hope they would keep it simple and call it total length, 'Tip to Tail'

Do you know if any reg changes will apply to the commercial fishery out in lake Ont??

The last I heard from one of the local commercial fishermen was that they hadn't been given any more information as of yet, even though it was hinted at in the MNR press release along with the new sport angling changes.

Most of the walleyes we caught last year (August) were between 19"-23". Very few fish were less than 19". We got a decent amount between 24"-26".

Hi Hot sauce, as you know most of the fish that i caught in the Fall last year were in the 19 to 25inch size although I did catch several eyes in the 25 to 30 inch size. It was the best Fall fish for me in my short life. VERY INTERESTING....
