Quinte Fishing

I have a question about colours underwater. I have read and seen articles regarding colours and depths. I understand that red is the first to "disappear" around 15-20 feet. Would this include pinks as well?
The reason I'm asking is because we have had most of our success on the Dr Death stretch 20+. I can only assume when at it's maximum depth that the pink isn't actually pink.
