Start of ice fishing?

What date do you think that the ice will be thick enough to fish on this year on the Bay?

i'd be willing to bet it wont be in the year 2007.

I'll second that, I'm definately not rushing around to put the boat away. I'm gonna guess first week of january 08

People have different ideas of what safe ice is, you want to walk on the ice, drive an ATV, or your truck? You want to walk out in Trenton where the current makes the freeze harder, or Brighton where it's 8 feet deep and no current? A guess is the best anyone can offer, so let's start a pool and I'll say there will be vehicles on the ice at the bridge in Trenton on Jan 4th.
