Its always nice to open your email up and find an invite to go fishing with EyeTracker (Sheldon), especially if your boat is in the shop getting fixed, and you havent been out in 5weeks. Sure! I responded. So this morning Scott from West Lake Willows Eye Tracker and I met at Picton Harbour at 8am. We Headed out well east of the Ferry and Sheldon set up rods while I sat back and had a coffee. I never have to bring anything with Sheldon as he has 6 of everything. Within 15 minutes of setting up one of the boards drops back and shortly after our first fish (5-6lbs) on a Reef Runner 150' back. Shortly after resetting the same board drops back and Sheldon passes the rod to Scott but the fish came unbuttoned.

At this point we had 4 boards out and decided to add 2 more with dipseys set just above the fish we saw down 30' on the graph. Within a moment of setting the dipsey rod in the holder it starts shaking and again Sheldon passes the rod to Scott and again it comes unbuttoned. Scott was now 0/2 and we told him 3 strikes you're out and its a pretty long swim back to Picton. The next fish did not come unbuttoned, Scott made sure of it.

In all we caught 13 fish. Half came on the dipseys and the others on the Reef Runners and Dr. Death, leads varied from 150 to 200 and speeds were from 1.8 to 2.3 We also lost quite a few and also had a big plank of a sheephead. The majority were 5-7lbs with one over 10lbs. It was a great day with some great folks

Great report Dan and glad to see the day was productive for everyone.........ummm........even for Scott LOL.....I guess the threat of Scott having to swim back did the trick.

Anyone wanting to get on a charter needs to call Sheldon....he consistently produces fish.

Best regards,
Sam

Dan,

Glad you got out and you fished the 'PRO'- results show the effeftiveness of Sheldon's proficiency.

Thanks for your report

It was great to share a boat and a days fishing with Dan and Scott. I enjoyed the day with some great anglers and best of all I got to fish on my favorite trophy waters - Bay of Quinte.

Enough with the PRO stuff  - I am a walleye angling nut like many on this site and just happen to be in a fortunate situation where I get to spend many days on the water fishing for walleye and traveling to many of the top walleye waters in Canada and the USA.

Don't be afraid to walk up and say hello if you see me at the launch, I will always offer up some tips and let you know what has been working and the areas of the bay that seem to be key locations.

I hope everyone gets a chance to break a personal best this fall on the Bay of Quinte.

See you on the water and Fish On...

-sheldon

Awesome job guys!!! I wish we would have seen you on the launch on Sunday, definitely could have used some tips. :? My guide (Wiggler) left us with no fish, at least when I was driving on Saturday we got one.
