Quinte Fishing

Hi folks!

Am I the only one who is seeing each fall on the Bay of Quinte a guy having a 20' planer board mast on his boat??

This gives him a "cool" look... but I wonder if it is working better than us having only 6' masts...

Not that I need to have the biggest one in town, I was just wondering.

Anybody know who he is?

How would you snap on your lines? Use a hook pole or something to bring the tow line down?
Why would you need a 20ft mast anyways? only advantage I could see would be to get your boards further out and not have the tow line catch in the water. Thing is, you pull that big of a swath in BOQ and you'd have some angry fisherman on your hands.
