We're heading down in a few weeks and was wondering what the launch there is like. Got a 14 ft deep V.
Also FYI, go to Garmin.com. Click on maps and eastern US fishing hot spots. You can zoom into quinte and get all the depths for free. Just my Scottish blood coming out again. Cheers

I personally haven't used the launch. I do remember passthepitonspete saying the launch is very shallow or gradual. With the bay being down 1.5-2 ft it may not be a good choice.
We use the launch at the ferry but of course it's only one lane.

Hey PsychoDad....I think I'm missing something.

I'm seeing under Map Source Map Viewer, Us Rec lakes w/fishing...east v5.

I go in, try to view and get no where.

Is this the right page and map?

Cheers

i'd have to think, if you have a good vehicle, that can back all four wheels into the water, you'll have no problem with a 14' boat....

the guys with the beauty boats, and lighter trucks, would probably want to continue down to the ferry. :D

I was talking with Hot Sauce the other day and he informed me that this launch is in bad shape with the low water. Apparently there is a BIG drop off at the end of the concrete ramp. I dont think I will be launching there myself.
