Hello everyone! My buddy and I leave Friday morning from the London area for Belleville to enjoy some fall walleye fishing. I've been a couple times before at this time of year, but that was some time ago - 99/00.

So, some questions to all you local experts!

1- we're staying in Belleville this time, normally stay in Picton. Where should we launch from? (good launch, not far from the current hot spots)
2- what VHF channel is commonly used in the area?
3- in the past, I've caught most of my November walleye in the Picton area using jigs and dragging worm harnesses. Seems like most people on the board are trolling flat lined reef runners or other deep divers with planers. Are the fish still quite scattered?
4- any tips on the current hot spots would be appreciated

Thanks for all your help, and see you on the water! (18' Black/Grey Mr. Pike Dual Console with Mercury motors)

1. Are you planning on fishing in Belleville or coming over to the Picton area? Good launches in Belleville and a good launch in Picton Harbour.

2. Many fishers are on Ch 72.

3. The fish are gathering, there are some people jigging and doing REAL well but mainly fishers are trolling big lures trying to find the fish in the water column/

4. Hot Spots - from the reports from last weekend, some fishers did well east of the ferry,in front of the cement plant, over by Thompsons Pt and in Long Reach. Take your choice....

Lotsa Luck Say hi on CH72 if you pass by the Superdad.

superdad, thanks for the quick response! Although we're staying in belleville, we're mobile - want to launch near the action.

Another question, for those trolling, what ground speed are you moving? 2mph?

thx again, definitely look for you all on the water, ch72

cheers

Hi weekendangler,

Most are trolling between 1.5 and 2.2 mph. You will know once the action starts at what speeds work best. Good luck fishing, drive carefully and catch lots of fish.

Best regards,
Sam
