Was out for a drive around Hay Bay and continued past Huff's Rd and back to Napanee.

I talked to some people who were fishing in front of Bayview Resort and they said the ice is about 4" thick, OK to walk but no vehicles. They had been over to Huff's Rd and there was a thin patch but you could walk around it on 6" of ice.

The SHAD are so thick that they are coming up thru the ice holes over at Huffs'.

There were three or four people fishing off the South Shore launch site and I couldn't see any one else. There were some serious thin patches which must have been open water just west of Perfect Vue, just where the road bends sharply.

It looks like the fish have the Shad Buffet open, may be tough fishing for a bit.

I got all my stuff ready, so if the weather stays cool this week, may get a chance to drill some holes next weekend. Stay Tuned.

Do you know if the ice is good in Deseronto yet?

If you get any information on this please let me know.
