I am curious if people are beginning to use reuseable and recycled shopping bags, be it made of cloth, etc.? This is beginning to gather a bit of steam in Westenn Canada, and I am curious about other places. Thank-you for taking a peek.

It is gaining in popularity, you see more and more people using those reusable bags at the grocery stores here in Whitby. There's been some municipalities that have suggested banning the plastic bags but it's only been mentioned so far.

my company is attached to a mall that has a dominion grocery store...

they almost solely use the 'material bag' as opposed to 'plastic' bags.

I went by a landfill site in southern Wisconsin the other day. All the trees east of the site were filled with plastic bags and the ground and surrounding area was a plastic catch-all. Time to get back to the paper and cloth bags and how about the millions of gallons of oil that would be saved?

I am just having some unexpectedly made up, using various outdoor themes (eg. beautiful brown trout, hunting dogs). Most will likley be donated, but seeing how more and more people are using them on the west coast (cloth bags), I was curious to see if it is beginning to happen in other places. Thank-you for the responces thus far.
