I just spoke with James at Bayview bait and Tackle. He was out measuring the ice off the Herchimer Boat Launch in Belleville and found 9-10 inches of ice. He will be putting his huts out tomorow. His page on this site is herehttp://www.quintefishing.com/bayview_boat_rentals.htm

is massassauga pt safe to go out on?thats where I really like to fish at this time of year.

What I heard is some guys are going out from Pt. Anne road west, just across from Massassauge Pt. and slightly east. From the bay on the north shore by Blakley shoal. I assume you know about the current in that area and would be checking the ice every few steps. I went through the ice there a few years ago right to my arm pits, fishing was good though.[/url]

I think it is a cheap shot but when I look at this posting and Dan's previous postings it certaining would appear that he is supporting the people who pay him to post banner ads on his web site.

If you don't think this is a business you are fooling yourself. Dan does not do this for free. Look at the Ice Hut rental guys that Dan is suggesting and you might see the same names as the banner ads above.

Guys cut him a break! there aren't that many ice hut operations around!
Yes he was promoting board sponsors. they are the ones he deals with and trusts. Would you rather deal with some fly by night operation??

I can`t hardly believe some of these guys.Everyone asks for info,and when they get it,they bitch about it.
I have personally stayed with Dave at Fishfinders and was a very pleasant time.His shacks are very comfortable .His home is very nice ,and the food was good.
A group of my friends are there as I write.I had to work this weekend or I would be there now.
