Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone had any info on the ice conditions in and around the kingston area. I am getting the itch and it looks like i am not alone. Any info would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Spox

The North Channel is wide open, the Cataraqui River is frozen, but not recommended.

Perhaps the lakes north of the city have some ice, but I wouldn't put much faith on fishing them for a while.

There are some out on Hay Bay (brave souls) and I believe some are out at Belleville on the ice.

Cheers

We have been fishing the smaller lakes in the Verona area for 2 weeks. Ice is 3 to 6 in most places. You still should spud your way out and avoid current areas. Walleyes are good some days, bad most days. Crappies have lock jaw so far but should go on the bite soon. Hope this helps

John
