Hey jb18,
I asked this question on another site as I had seen NO response to your question here.
Seems with that shifty current it has only built1.5" - 2" of ice so far but looks like it might be OK in a week or so.

There was a tug boat in the area last week so I'd be very cautious of the ice off point anne.

I have been told there is 2-4 inches at PT AN.
Apparently there are 2 huts out already.
Going out Sat. to check it personally
Hope it going to be a good season
Good luck to all and be safe.

Agreed. I have not checked East Point Anne out by the launch lately, but that was one of the last areas to freeze over. Has anyone been out as far as the red buoy (Q52) yet at Minnie Blakely?

The red buoy is in a current area, not too good at the best of times.
I woul wait a while. Stay in the good area for now. We are lucky to have ice this time of year.
Good luck,stay safe Leon
