Quinte Fishing

We caught a half dozen nice ones up to around 12 lbs on Wednesday afternoon. It was pretty windy - definitely "sporting" conditions.

The shiny silver Reef Runner deep diver with about a 1 1/2 ounce snap-weight off the side planer got three, I think. Got one with the ol' reliable silver-blue Williams Wabler off the rigger, and one more on some purple-something Reef Runner off the planer.

Finally, we didn't put the Picton Special out on the rigger, and neither did we catch at least one fish on it, as we haven't done each and every time we haven't tried it. So don't use the Picton Special, it's a terrible lure, totally out of date and so retro-90's. Today's Modern Fish have no use for it.

Thanks for the help at the ramp - my blue front-wheel drive van was barely adequate for the job, and we all seemed to do a good job pushing each other out. We pushed a guy out in the morning who launched with an empty rear-wheel drive pick-me-up truck. One wonders how they did later when it came time to pull the boat out?
