WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE SHAD? I BELIEVE THE POST FOXY IS REFERING TO IS YOUR "LOOK AROUND HAYBAY AND THE REACH". I KNOW TWO YEARS AGO WHEN THE HARDWATER FISHING WAS SO BAD, DEAD SHAD WERE FLOATING IN THE HOLES. IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, THIS PROBLEM STARTED DURING OPEN WATER FISHING IN THE FALL. FISHERMEN WERE REPORTING HUGE SCHOOL OF SHAD AND OTHERS REPORTED CITY WATER INTAKES BEING PLUGGED BY BAIT FISH. DO YOUR THINK WHAT YOU SEEN WAS A ISOLATE OCCURANCE OR ANOTHER YEAR OF DOOMED HARDWATER FISHING?

THANKS
URBS

P.S. THANKS FOR THE MANY YEARS OF GREAT POSTS! :) IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU, DAN AND HAYBAY LARRY, I PROBABLY WOULD NOT VISIT THE BOARD. I ALSO WILL BE AT HUFF'S NEXT SATURDAY. MAYBE WE WILL SEE YOU THERE.

What I saw & heard last weekend was that the shad were coming out of the holes. Someone I talked to had one on his jig.

That's what I saw and heard.

Sunday might be the day for hard water fishing at Hay Bay.

We'll see
