Just a further note of caution to all that venture out onto the frozen ponds.
Took a trip out to Rush Bar yesturday and spent a good afternoon with a fishing bud and a some good advise from Jeff C..
For the most part where we were the ice ranged between 6-7 inches and was hard good ice but you still have some bad areas there. Chris the fishing bud decided to venture South on the East side of the bar and saw, felt the ice surface give way to fresh water surfacing by him. I myself spudded an area close to the top of the bar and hit water after only 4 swats with the spud not even on 3-4 inches of good ice.

So the dozen perch and one 4.5 - 5 pound walleye caught for the after noon meant we had some success but not enough to be wreckless and see everyone at a funeral. Be careful out there yet in areas of unsure waters.

Again thanks Jeff C for the info before we headed out.

With all the snow you'd think it would be pretty dangerous out there????
