Quinte Fishing

Hi everyone just wanted to let everyone know that the ice conditions in trenton are as follows the river is unsafe to go out on, the mouth of the river varies depending on where you go out the red bouy is unsafe but when you go to the green bouy people seem to be ok there the customers that came into my store still say that the green bouy is ok and still has about 5 inches of ice. I still warn everyone to use extreme caution if you must venture out. Safer spots are Bain Park reports of large perch and the odd walleye and about 8 inches to the channel. You can also go out dufferin to the islank and getting lots of pike on our chub minnows about 7-12 inches of ice entrance here does have a run off go down shore to get on the ice safely. These are the reports my customers are giving me so please still use extreme caution when going out. good fishing and happy new year to all. I will go out tommorrow myself and check out these places and will be back with another ice condition report.I do believe in my customers but i will check it out for everyone.
