While dropping some things off at my grandfathers i took a run along the bay shore in belleville. Saw two brave souls walking out from herchimer. But i noticed an odd dark coloured object out in the middle maybe 100-150 yards from cow island (it didnt look like a person). Ten minutes later from my grandfathers house i see an orange hellicopter running down the bay about 100 feet off the water. Anyone hear of anything? I am hoping the thing i saw in the ice WAS NOT a person!!!

I heard that there was a rumor that the other day that I had gone through myself. I thought that was kind of interesting as I have never fallen through, and never plan on it. Apparently my floater suit will float, but I plan on never actually finding out. Be safe out there...

Ya rumours in the bay area are stupid and travel fast! I did fall threw the other day on the other hand, Jeff doesnt matter how cautious you be around this time of year it can happen to the best of us........ that was part of my problem that day I was thinking the ice wasnt the best saw guys out there and said hmmmm give it a shot, maybe if guys didnt group up in unsafe areas it wouldnt send mixed messages to others that are looking for safe spots to fish!!!! But hey we all take responsibility for ourselves when we get out there..... but I did want to thank an older fella named Bruce and a younger guy named Dave that helped me warm up after I did get wet! I havent heard nuthin about anyone going threw other then myself! RUMOURS!!

The orange helicopter you seen might have been the air ambulance. The landing pad is on the south side of HWY#2 near Tim Hortons.
