Are you board and looking to stir the pot, if so you are about a month and a half to late. These so called poachers that you talk about must be outfishing you and you are pissed, right?

Counted out 5 fish for a 5 person charter, threw back the other fish as you saw. Not what I call or know as poaching, now if you read the regs. you will see that they are allowed 20 fish.

Maybe we (you) do not agree with keeping the fish or maybe we (you) feel that the bigger ones should go back but that is our choice the same as it is thier choice to keep.

fry flier.....
if you watch it again you'll notice they threw back 3 walleye over 25" and kept the 5 they also had on board,THATS OVER THERE LIMIT!!!!!
but ya its all been posted before, but maybe coyote#1 never noticed it?

besides its a well know fact that the big walleyes are not our prime spawners
its the 3-8lbers that are our bread and butter.

just my 2 cents

Fry flier either you agree with what they are doing or your a blind bat dude! That kinda of angler doesnt deserve to fish this area in my opinion! No respect for the fish you can tell by the way he bombs them back in the water without even checking them to make sure they will live.... o well this garbage happens and the only one to blame is the MNR and Government!

wow !!! I have seen this poacher before (his video's)on u tube ..he has no respect for fishing , the fish, or enviroment .his other video's are also pretty bad .one i saw with at least a dozen bass just flopping around in a cooler .. maybe he was within limit or not, but the fact remain he takes pride in the killing and mishandling of OUR fish..i have fished the bay for over a decade now and only taking a few small ones for a fry that night with 95% of my fish caught are released!! all big fish should be released..for OUR future generations...

fry flier : never met you but that sucks you feel that way..just because it was their choice doesn't mean it was right..
let this video be a lesson to all responsible anglers on this great site ..
keep fishing and releasing !!

I know what I saw and watched the video, I also heard the gentlemen explain that they got into a fast and furious bite. We all dream of it and it happens to some and not all.
They threw back fish #8 the 1st of the 3 which was the 1st fish over thier limit and had to be culled. The next 2 to go were fish number 6 and fish & 7. That said five charter customers and 2 charter people add up to 7 licenses + 7 top slot fish.

Do I agree with it, no not for myself but I was not one of them.
But you cannot call a guy within thier limits a poacher because you do not like the way they fish or released fish. Heck if we did that I know that at some time or the other about 80% or more people would fall under the catagory of poacher.

Mike I can also use the blind part of the statement since I am legally blind in one eye. It is a birth thing................

On the subject of poaching, back on Sunday Nov25, 2007 as I was launching my boat at the public launch in Picton, a fishing guide and his client were just packing up to go. I wandered over to see how they made out and on the ground behind the boat laid out in a row were 8 or 9 big walleye. He mentioned the biggest one was 11 pounds. He was quite proud of his catch and not at all trying to hide them, and unfortunatly at the time I wasn't sure of the regulations, but I thought it was one fish per person over 25 inches, isn't this correct or has it changed? I thought certainly a guide would know the regulations.

Yep the guide right here at my desk.
Section 20 which is the B.O.Q. and L.O. 1 over max 24".8 or 63 cms.
Other areas are different as well in area 18 - 1 over max 18".1 or 46 cms.
Check the area you fish.
