Just wondering how the ice conditions are on Hay Bay? I know people were out there fishing and then the warm spell hit. I figure there is probably still ice there but just not safe ice. With this cold weather coming it should tighten up soon depending on how much ice is already there.

Anybody have any info on the conditions?

Thanks,

JFish

On Saturday almost the entire bay was open. There was a guy in a boat fishing about 300 yards west of the old church. We lost alot of ice in a real short time. There was still a skim out from the church but I wouldn't even try to walk on it.
I'm looking out my back window now and there is still open water in the area just east of Shermans/Thompsons area.
I'd give it some time yet before trying to head out.

I dont think Saturday will be a go give it another week or two...... its not been cold enough at night. And alot of melt has the currents just gushing, the moira river has gone from nuthin to alot in no time! I dont even think stocco in Tweed is fishable! Comon Mr.Winter all we want is 5-7 inches of pure blackness!!!!!!
