Quinte Fishing

Joined the crowd at shermans. Got there at 3:oo pm for the afternoon bite.
About 4-5 in. of good black ice. Plenty for walking.
Saw a couple of fish caught. Our group of 6, nada, zip.
Weather was great and had a good afternoon. Must have been at least
100 people out there. Lets hear some more reports?????????

My Dad & I fished Sherman's on Sunday from 9:30am until 4:00pm with only two perch to show for our efforts -- at least the perch were huge.

We only saw one walleye caught all day and that was about 10 minutes after I cought my perch -- I was thinking that the fish were about to turn on, but the bite was gone as quickly as it arrived.

Very slow day in terms of fish, but the weather was good and we got to test drive our new portable fish shanty, so we'll consider the day a success.

The ice is consistantly 5.5 - 7.0 inches thick and it's nice solid black ice so we felt pretty safe.
