Well 3 of us headed out to the old church Sat afternoon, we ventured out to about the middle and set up in 20 feet of water. We had 6 inches of ice and were wishing we had brought 4 wheelers... LOL

No Walleye to speak of. We did see a few caught closer to shore, and there was quite a bit of hollering, So i take it they were either big or they were just real happy to see fish! 8)

We fished from about 230 til 6 and marked many big fish on the Vex, And I was able to see one Eye on the Aqua Vu about 5-6 lbs he came close to the buckshot and veered away. It was quite nice to see the Vu working in the bay and fun to pass the time just watching the perch and such.

Hoping to get some time out there this week if summer doesn't show up unexpectadly

Hi Maverick,
I am coming to Hay Bay this weekend for the first time through the ice, could you tell me where the church is in relation to Shermans?
Thanks

Any chance I could receive the PM too? LOL. I'll be heading down for family day weekend to my friends cottage up in Parham and we want to hit Hay Bay for 1 day. I was just going to wait to ask for any info on the area (eg. where to get on/off the ice and where to go) but I figure since the topic has already been posted I might as well ask now. I appreciate any info I can get.

I'm hoping to get into both perch and eyes. Rather have a meal of perch though.

Thanks,

JFish
