Hi .... are there any reports here on fishing anymore...or does everyone think there are only 150 pickerel left in the Bay....???

Tons of fish in Bay of Quinte....and people don't post reports like 2 years ago.

I don't get it....

We are planning on coming down from Orleans ...near Ottawa.....would be nice to know if the ice is good near the Narrows...Deseronto.

We called the morons at Fosters'....they said it was open water the whole bay!!!...haha....I reallly doubt that. I don't believe a word those guys say.

Any credible reports would much welcomed!..

Cheers,
Chris

Christin,

The ice infront of Fosters must be very thin since
it was open water a week ago. I have fished out
from Fosters many times in the past. The people
I spoke to (in person) at Fosters told me the real
conditions every time. Once I drove down and then
went right back home on their recommendation.
Maybe they are telling you the truth. It is one of
the most dangerous areas due to currents. Also,
you don't need to fish the narrows to catch fish.
Most people don't. There are hundreds of places
to go right now that have 6-9 inches of good ice.

I have a feeling Fosters gets alot of phone calls,
every day, about ice conditions. They may get
tired of it, especially if they look out their window
and see open water.

I know Tony at Moonlight put his huts out on Friday night and he doesn't put them out until it is very very safe.

Deseronto Ice fishing has been very good with some trophy fish being caught but people do not like to over advertise this anymore.

They keep their success to themselves.
