Not sure of the area but I will be across the lake from you this Sat. for a derby.

If you go to this site http://www.gofishont.com you will be able to get info from a lot of locals since the BB focuses around L Simcoe.

Hey legend cooks bay is ussualy good for perch. thats west of beverton. there is always perch in the area the thing is to be mobile to hunt down the jumbos. 20' of water give or take will have you in the right area.I know guys fish Beverton area but have never myself. Gilford on the west side of cooks bay has access and there is also keswik on the east side of the bay. hope this helps.

Try giving Steve a call at Talbot Bait & Tackle in Brechin/Beaverton area @ 705-426-4042. I've fished for perch a few times on the east side of Thorah Island and did well most of the time. Picked up a few whitefish too. Hope this helps.

Hey Legend,
Roaches Point and Virginia Beach used to be very productive.
Check with local operators. Parking can be a problem around simcoe.
some guys will drive you out and pick u up if you want to fish in the open. If taking kids out, you might consider renting a hut and taking somme food
and making a day of it. You will have more fun if you are warm.
Good Luck!! :) :)

Simco fishing. perch are close to shore and a safe walk for the Kids @ roches point. Get your Bait a Harrys at river edge. harrys bait is at the bridge and on the right hand side. Continue on leslie st north to Metro rd. turn left at metro rd and follow to sign stating roches point. The next left is bouche I think that how you spell it. take that left and again another left and you can park on the right hand side of the road. The ticket is $15 for parking outside of the signs. we think that $15 is reasonable and park close to the action. no extra dragging of the hut. hope this info helps. Ps: our crew has caught well over four hundred this year at the pump house and have now moved over to the point to get the big perch. find 20 plus feet of water approximately 500 yards from shore and out from the point. stay away from the point it self OPEN WATER. Good Luck

Lots of perch @ Beaverton, but not sure if there catching and in what depth. If its anything like Innisfil, (west side of lake) The jumbos are deep. We've been catching them regularily while fishing whities in 85 FOW. The guys in shallow are only getting dinks. This was as of last wednesday. Hope this helps!! BTW... good bait is available right by the pier in Beaverton. They give a good generous scoop.
